Mazuri® Marmoset Jelly
Mazuri® Marmoset Jelly is an easy-to-prepare marmoset food that meets the high-protein, high-energy needs of the animal, and is useful for primates in times of inappetence. Marmoset jelly is shipped as a powder that is designed to be made into a gel prior to feeding. This highly palatable supplement provides the majority of the daily nutrients in an acceptable form to the animal but is not intended as the sole diet.

Description
As Mazuri® Marmoset Jelly is very palatable, there is the risk of over consumption which, as gelatin is slightly purgative, could give rise to diarrhea. The jelly should never become the sole source of food and should not constitute more than 25% of the diet (as fed). Small amounts of fruit and other foods, preferably Mazuri® New World Primate Diet, should also be available.Mix, by weight, 60% boiling water to 40% Mazuri® Marmoset Jelly powder. For a firmer product, use 50% boiling water to 50% powder.Greater bulk can be obtained by mixing ground Mazuri® New World Primate Diet with the powder before adding the hot water to make a gel.Mix thoroughly with a spoon, fork or whisk for one minute, then pour into a shallow pan and allow to cool.Refrigerate until firm. Cut into pieces appropriately sized for the animals being fed.Prepared jelly should only be offered when the animal may be expected to consume it in a short period of time. Food intake will vary and it is advisable to ensure that the animals are hungry and that the choice of other foods available is limited.
Thoroughly wash feed and water bowls on a regular basis. It is always good practice to wash hands thoroughly after feeding and/or handling animals. This diet is not for human consumption.
